All, I have 2 version of ESX, 3.5 and 4.0, I would like vm which on ESX 3.5 moved and use by ESX 4.0 (done by vCenter Converter),  but i can't upgrade the vm from Windows server 2003 to Windows server...

Hi Albert, Thanks for your answer, i quite helpful coz i try many time to upgrade after my VM was moved, it always failed..may be i try to upgrade the VM hardware to version 7 during migration from ESX...

No worries Rio, At least you need to upgrade the vm hardware after you migrate or import the VM from ESX 3.5 into 4.1 After that, please post the error message or the screenshot of the error on that...

Rio, It seems that the problem is the Windows Server installation media is not compatible with your current VM type ?eg. 32 bit Windows Server 2003 upgrade or inserted with WIndows Server 2008 64 bit...

Rio, So what's the current Guest OS of the VM, [ right click Edit Settings on the VM then go to Options then General option ] Can you change it into Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) ?
